Health & Nutrition

At GVSS, we recognize Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Healthcare (RMNCHA) as one of the thematic areas to safeguard the well-being of present and future generations. India is the world’s second-most populous country and witnessing over 30 million births annually. In our country, various challenges continue to exist, particularly in maternal and neonatal care. India’s progress in addressing the challenge has been commendable, but challenges persist. Timely intervention during pregnancy is crucial to address the causes of maternal deaths. Equally pressing are the challenges surrounding neonatal care. Early identification and appropriate treatment of these issues can save countless lives. GVSS implemented various programs in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. The programs focused on:

  • Primary healthcare for Women and Children.
  • Maternal and Child Health.
  • Adolescent Health (Menstrual Hygiene, TT Immunization, Anemia Screening and Treatment, and Nutrition).
  • Prevention of HIV/AIDS and Family Planning.
  • Reproductive Health.

  • Promotion of Government Health Services and Schemes.
  • Hygiene and Nutrition.
